Rules/Info
The 19th annual charity Friends of Golf tournament will be held at the La Cite golf course in Hawkesbury, Ontario. Tournament date is August 8, 2026. First tee time is 11am. Team members and tee times will be sent out as the date approaches and players have paid to be eligible.
Cost and Inclusions per Player
$110 per player includes:
- 18 holes of golf with shared electric cart
- Dinner at the La Cite golf course
- A donation to the Hospital
- Each player receives a hot dog and soft drink after the front nine holes.
Where your $110 goes:
- Golf / Cart — $55.00
- Dinner — $30.00
- Donation to the Hospital — $20.00
- Payment processing — $5.00
Not playing golf? You can attend dinner only for $35 — that includes a $5 fee to cover payment processing charges.
Golfer Accommodation Rules
***Each golfer is responsible to reserve their own accommodation***
Two options are available for overnight accommodation in Hawkesbury.
1) Stephanies Motel

- Availability: Only 15 rooms all with two double beds, clean with restaurant and bar right next door. 3kms. from the La Cite golf course.
2) Quality Inn & Suites

- Availability: Quality Inn, more expensive, clean, about 3kms. from the La Cite golf course.
Rules for the Tournament
***Please share this mail with your team members, friends***
- Should there be a tie the team with the lowest score achieved earliest in the round wins. For example if your team scores -7 after 14 holes and another team gets -7 after 18 holes the team with -7 after 14 holes win.
- Putting contest remains the same as last year. All teams will track the number of putts for each hole. The lowest number of putts win. A putt is when your team is on the putting surface. Chipping or putting the ball not on the putting surface directly in the hole is 0 putts. Should there be a tie the scorecards go in a hat and we pick a winner.
- “No” team can win both low score and the putting portion of the tournament.

Please bring an extra $10-$20 dollars for a draw for a very nice gift. All money goes to the Brockville Hospital.
